Taylor Swift Reveals Which Song She’s Most Excited to Re-Record

After earning six Grammy nominations for her latest album “Folklore” and her song for “Cats,” Taylor Swift stopped by “Good Morning America” on Wednesday to discuss re-recording her old music.

“Good Morning America” anchor George Stephanopoulos told Swift that his daughters are huge fans of her music, and one of them asked which song she’s most excited to re-record.

“I’ve been having a really good time re-recording my older music. And I think my answer to that is, so far of the ones I’ve re-recorded, I think it’s been most the fun doing ‘Love Story.’ Because the older music, my voice was so teenaged and sometimes when I hear my older music and my older, young teenage voice, it makes me feel like I’m a different singer now. And so it’s been the most fun to go back and re-record ones that I feel like I can actually, possibly improve upon the song. So that’s been a really amazing, fun adventure,” she said.

Swift has embarked on re-recording her old catalog of music under the Big Machine Records label after Scooter Braun bought the rights to her masters and sold them to Shamrock Holdings, a private equity firm, in October. By re-recording her music, Swift will be able to own the songs and release them to her fans under her control.

On Sunday, Swift won three American Music Awards, including favorite artists, but in a pre-filmed video said she couldn’t be there to accept the awards live because she was busy in the studio re-recording her songs.

Along with the Grammy love for “Folklore,” Swift also released the a concert film of her performances exclusively on Disney Plus on Wednesday. In the film, Swift confirmed that the mystery artist credited as William Bowery on the songs “Exile” and “Betty” was in fact her boyfriend Joe Alwyn, much to the delight of fas. Music from “Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions” also became available on streaming services.
