Japanese entertainment company Remow has greenlit a TV anime adaptation of the popular manga series “With You, Our Love Will Make It Through” (“Kimi To Koete Koi Ni Naru” or “KIMIKOE”), set to premiere in fall this year.
The series, adapted from a shojo manga – a category of Japanese comics primarily targeting teenage girls and typically focusing on romance and emotional relationships – has amassed 1.2 million copies in circulation and 53 million page views on girls’ manga app Manga Mee as of December 2024. The story follows an interspecies romance between a human high school student and a beastfolk transfer student, putting a supernatural spin on the traditional high school romance formula that’s a hallmark of the shojo genre.
The original manga, penned by Chihiro Yuzuki, has been serialized on Shueisha’s Manga Mee platform since May 2019, with English translations available through Yen Press. The series has released seven volumes to date, with an eighth volume scheduled for Jan. 23.

Leading the voice cast are Manaka Iwami as protagonist Asaka Mari and Takuya Eguchi as the beastfolk character Hidaka Tsunagu. Iwami said: “When I read the original story, I was fascinated by the idea of a romance between a beastfolk and a human. The character I voice, Mari, is a very straightforward and kind girl. The relationship between the two of them, and of course the characters around them, is really fascinating.”
Eguchi added: “In the worldview of this work, being a beastfolk is a difficult position to be in. I tried to express the various emotions that the beastfolk Tsunagu carries.”
Yuzuki said: “Thanks to the readers who supported me, we finally got an anime series! I’m so happy! ‘KIMIKOE’ is brought to life with voices and movements, and is still being made as I write this.”
Remow was founded in 2021 with Shueisha as a major shareholder. Global streaming platform details for the series will be revealed at a later date.
