Ugh, as if you’d wear anything but plaid this fall. This season, we’re taking notes from Cher Horowitz by way of Versace, Michael Kors, Christian Dior, who leaned into pink, yellow, and orange check.

There’s sparkle and shine all over the runways this season, making us want to whip out our phones to use our favorite app. The disco ball look is given the universal treatment, crafted as cocktail dresses, handbags, and even a two-piece suit.

The most divisive style decade is making a comeback, and we’re finally changing our tune on acid wash. You can thank Gucci’s ’80s prom dresses, Marc Jacobs’ overssized suits, and Balenciaga’s neon floral prints for this era’s bitchin’ return.

We’ve seen millennial pink, but now the fuchsia hue is standing alone as the it-color of the season. Wear it all-over this fall, just like the models did at Christian Siriano, Tory Burch and more.

Business meets pleasure on the runway of Dion Lee and Alexander Wang, where suiting was not safe for work. Asymmetrical necklines, super short hemlines, and under boob cutouts made the fall suit more suitable for a night out.

Colorful tights may feel like a dated trend from the time we all tried to dress like Blair Waldorf, but an injection of color is just what we need. Power clash like a pro at Adam Selman, or go monochrome like Emilio de la Morena.

Call us Anne of Green Gables, because all we want to dress in are floral dresses made for frolicking. Prairie style dresses were all over the runway, making their mark at Chloe, Altuzarra and more.

We were never fully convinced of the micro bag trend, so we’re happy to welcome its heftier counterpart: the oversized tote. Celine and Balenciaga premiered mega bags on the runway, ideal for carrying everything you do (and don’t) need.

Prepare to turn heads in this season’s official texture, a holographic sheen reminiscent of gasoline. The liquid dream was made into trenches at Balmain, ball skirts at Antonio Berardi, and ruffled dresses at Maryam Nassir Zadeh.

Put down your basic shades and prepare for a bright idea: colored lenses. Bottega Veneta, Ashish and others prove tint is in with sunglasses that hit all stripes of the rainbow.

Cozy is key this season, in the form of cozy outerwear that doubles as a puffy comforter. Never sacrifice style for practicality again.
