Balenciaga Is Now Making Fancy Hiking Sneakers

Last year, Balenciaga made Dad sneakers “fashion” with the release of its Triple S chunky sneaker. The trend hasn’t died down, as several brands from Louis Vuitton to Fila released their own iterations of the must-have sneaker.

Balenciaga is moving on though.

Today, September 24, Balenciaga released its Track Sneaker, featuring a chunky silhouette—sans the multi-layered sole of the Triple S—that “layers high performance elements of hiking and running gear without becoming self-serious.” The sneaker is sportier and more practical than its predecessor and arrives in five different colors for men and two for women.

Balenciaga’s new model runs for a cool $850, just a few dollars shy from the price of the Triple S (at $895). Knowing how the Triple S sneaker took over Instagram feeds and streets all year long, Balenciaga’s new Track Sneaker probably has hypebeasts quaking right now.

The shoe will be available exclusively at Balenciaga’s Rodeo Drive location, as well as online at balenciaga.com.
