G-Star Raw x Jaden Smith
After announcing its “Most Sustainable Jeans Ever” (produced using 75 percent less water) last February, G-Star Raw is bringing star power to their fabrication. The denim featured in Jaden Smith’s new Forces of Nature capsule collection is Cradle to Cradle Gold Level Certified, meaning it was rigorously vetted for best manufacturing processes, earning top marks for utilizing renewable energy, material recyclability, and water conservation.

Kévin Germanier
Barely out of Central Saint Martins, Paris-based Kévin Germanier has been gathering steam for his intricate sequin-and bead-heavy embroidery ensembles. While his maximalist designs may not look like your typical hippie-chic sustainable fare, Germanier’s preferred raw materials are slightly imperfect factory seconds that would other-wise be tossed. Björk and Tracee Ellis Ross are already fans, and with his recent inclusion at Matchesfashion.com’s new London brick-and-mortar store–cum–event space at 5 Carlos Place, we expect his sparkly star will continue to rise.

There’s a certain mythic quality to ChristinaTung’s line of eclectic, shoulder-grazing earrings. The label, pronounced “souvenir,”was born after the longtime fashion publicist was gifted with a treasure trove of vintage jewelry. Tung upcycled the necklaces, trans-forming them into stunning danglers. The earrings are available as singles or in pairs at Sincerely, Tommy’s Brooklyn store and website. As for sourcing “new” materials for future collections, Tung is committed to using pieces steeped in the past—think flea market finds and friends’ hand-me-downs.
