Brad Falchuk Sets Overall Deal at Netflix

Brad Falchuk is joining Ryan Murphy at Netflix.

Falchuk and his Brad Falchuk Teley-Vision banner have signed an overall deal with the streamer, which sources say is for four years and worth eight figures. He is currently set up under a deal at 20th Century Fox Television, with that deal set to expire on June 1. While at 20th TV, he collaborated with Murphy on shows like Fox’s “9-1-1,” and FX’s “Pose,” “American Horror Story,” and “American Crime Story.” Falchuk and Murphy are also working together on the upcoming Netflix series “The Politician,” which will be produced by 20th TV. Like Murphy, Falchuk will remain an executive producer on all of the aforementioned shows despite exiting the studio. His other credits include “Glee,” “Nip/Tuck,” and “Scream Queens.”

He is repped by WME and Gendler & Kelly.

Falchuck is the latest in a string of top producers and creators to set rich new overall deals in the recent past. In addition to Murphy, both Kenya Barris and Shonda Rhimes left their homes at ABC Studios for deals reportedly worth nine-figures at Netflix. Nahnatchka Khan also recently left 20th Century Fox Television for a new deal at Universal, while longtime Universal Television mainstay Mindy Kaling recently left the studio for a new deal at Warner Bros. Television.

Meanwhile, Mike Schur re-upped his deal with Universal Television, while “Fresh Off the Boat” and “Speechless” executive producers Jake Kasdan and Melvin Mar signed a new overall deal with 20th TV. Prior to that, “Pretty Little Liars” producer I. Marlene King and “Daredevil” creator Drew Goddard both inked deals at 20th in the past week.
