Variety to Celebrate Broadway to Watch of 2020

Broadway may be shuttered due to the pandemic, but Variety is keeping its annual tradition of celebrating the world of stage with a digital event, “Legit! The Road Back to Broadway,” presented by City National Bank at 9 a.m. PDT Sept. 24 in the Variety Streaming Room. Panels will feature Variety’s Broadway to watch, playwrights Jeremy O. Harris (“Slave Play”), Matthew López (“The Inheritance”) and Katori Hall (“Tina: The Tina Turner Musical”) and a roundtable with Alia Jones-Harvey (“Ain’t Too Proud” and “American Son”), Tom Kirdahy (“Hadestown”), Kevin McCollum (“Mrs. Doubtfire” and “Six”) and Carmen Pavlovic (“Moulin Rouge”) about re-opening Broadway.
