The History Channel announced that the two-hour documentary “Tulsa Burning: The 1921 Race Massacre” will premiere on May 30.
The documentary, executive produced by Russell Westbrook and directed by Stanley Nelson and Marco Williams, will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Tulsa Race Massacre, one of the most horrific acts of racial violence in American history. The film also follows the quick rise and fall of Black Wall Street and the current-day grave excavation efforts at Oaklawn Cemetery, where the city has recovered numerous unmarked coffins of victims of the massacre.
The History Channel is also joining the Russell Westbrook Why Not? Foundation, WME, RedFlight Innovation and Values Partnerships in an initiative which will provide Tulsa-area students with STEAM kits focused on innovation and entrepreneurship.

ABC announced that the special tribute episode of “General Hospital,” which will celebrate actor John Reilly, will air on May 21. The episode features “General Hospital” fan-favorites Kristina Wagner, John J. York, Finola Hughes, Genie Francis and Jon Lindstrom reprising their respective roles as Felicia Scorpio, Malcolm “Mac” Scorpio, Anna Devane, Laura Collins and Kevin Collins. While mourning the death of World Security Bureau agent Sean Donely (formerly played by Reilly), the characters are pulled into a mystery involving his daughter, Annie, played by the late actor’s daughter Caitlin Reilly. John Reilly, who died in January 2021, played Sean Donely on “General Hospital” from 1984 to 1994 and returned for the show’s 50th anniversary along with one episode of the spin-off series, “General Hospital: Night Shift.”

Netflix released a final season trailer for “Special,” which streams May 20. In the second and final season, Ryan deals with writer’s block until he meets Tanner, a flirty dance instructor who leads him on a complicated journey of self-discovery. Meanwhile, Karen finds newfound independence after her fight with Ryan, and Kim fights to regain control of her finances and personal life as she becomes romantically involved with sensitive tech mogul Harrison. “Special” stars creator Ryan O’Connell, who also writes and executive produces, alongside Jessica Hecht and Punam Patel. Marla Mindelle, Gina Hughes and Patrick Fabian return as guest stars. Jim Parsons, Eric Norsoph, Todd Spiewak and Anna Dokoza executive produce, and Craig Johnson joins to direct four episodes. “Special” is based on O’Connell’s memoir “I’m Special: And Other Lies We Tell Ourselves” and is produced by Warner Bros. Television, That’s Wonderful Productions, Campfire and Stage 13.
