Demi Lovato Signs With UTA (EXCLUSIVE)

Demi Lovato has signed with United Talent Agency for worldwide representation in all areas, Variety has confirmed. The Grammy-nominated pop star, actor and podcast host was previously with WME.

Lovato, who came out as non-binary in May and uses they/them pronouns, has a slew of upcoming projects, including in TV and digital media. Most recently, they launched a podcast, “4D With Demi Lovato,” in partnership with Cadence13. On the podcast, Lovato interviews guests on topics such as mental health, LGBTQ rights, activism, body positivity and the environment. So far, Lovato’s lineup has included Drew Barrymore, Jameela Jamil, Glennon Doyle, Chelsea Handler and Jane Fonda.

On the TV front, Lovato is set to star in the single-camera show “Hungry,” which received a pilot order from NBC in April. “Hungry” follows a circle of friends who belong to a support group for people with food issues as they help each other navigate love and success. Food Network host Valerie Bertinelli is starring opposite Lovato, as their character’s mother and restaurant owner. Lovato’s manager Scooter Braun serves as executive producer alongside Lovato, creator Suzanne Martin, “Will & Grace” star Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner. Lovato is also developing the series “Unidentified With Demi Lovato” for Peacock, which will follow Lovato as they attempt to uncover the truth about UFOs, along with their sister Dallas and best friend Matthew.

In March, Lovato premiered their documentary “Dancing With the Devil” at SXSW, and later on YouTube Originals. The four-part series delved deeply into Lovato’s nearly fatal 2018 overdose and struggles with addiction. Lovato released their seventh studio album, “Dancing With the Devil… The Art of Starting Over” on April 2, which featured collaborations with Ariana Grande, Saweetie and Noah Cyrus.

Lovato is also a tireless advocate for mental health, having been named Global Citizen’s official ambassador for mental health in 2017. This year, they were honored by UCLA’s Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior with the artistic award for courage to celebrate their contributions to the space.

Lovato is also represented by Scooter Braun Projects, Carroll Guido Groffman Cohen Bar & Karalian, LLP and the Nordlinger Group.
