Olivia Rodrigo, Rauw Alejandro and BTS Lead Spotify’s Song of the Summer Predictions

Spotify is wishing music fans a “happy and healthy” summer with the reveal of their song of the summer predictions, led by Olivia Rodrigo’s pop-punk track “Good 4 U.”

As “Good 4 U” is currently the most streamed song on the platform — averaging 8 million plays per day — it only makes sense that it kicks off the list of predictions. Following Rodrigo is Latin hit “Todo De Ti” by Rauw Alejandro, “Kiss Me More” by Doja Cat featuring SZA and BTS’ “Butter.”

“Spanning a variety of genres — from hip-hop to country — our songs of summer predictions are based on a number of factors like streaming numbers, current trajectory and future forecasting from Spotify’s global curation team,” Spotify said in a press release announcing the predictions.

Indeed, the list of 25 tracks covers a lot of musical ground, from country anthem “I Quit Drinking” by Kelsea Ballerini featuring LANY to Willow’s “Transparent Soul” featuring pop-punk legend Travis Barker. Also included are “rising talent” Girl in Red and SEB, and long-running hits like Dua Lipa’s “Levitating” featuring DaBaby and “Rapstar” by Polo G.

Spotify has also come up with a list of song of the summer predictions for UK listeners, which includes “Bed” by Joel Correy, Raye and David Guetta; “Body (Remix)” by Tion Wayne and Russ Millions; and Wolf Alice’s “Smile.” Other artists featured on the UK playlist include Becky Hill, AJ Tracey, Calvin Harris and Jorja Smith. Spotify is also celebrating the UK’s favorite reality show, “Love Island,” by creating four playlists including all the best tracks featured on the show, all with a different vibe. “Sounds of Love Island,” “Love Island: Pool Party,” “Love Island: Coupled Up” and “Love Island: Greatest Hits” are all available to stream now.
