Netflix Sets Release Dates for ‘Princess Switch 3’ and More Holiday Movies

The Princess Switch 3,” a romantic comedy starring Vanessa Hudgens, and more Christmas favorites are coming to Netflix this holiday season.

The third installment, newly titled “The Princess Switch 3: Romancing the Star,” drops on Nov. 18. In the film, Hudgens plays not one, not two, but three of the leading roles — Queen Margaret, Princess Stacy and Margaret’s look-alike cousin Fiona.

Before subscribers can watch that chaos unfold on the small screen, the Yuletide cheer kicks off with “The Claus Family” on Nov. 1. The film follows a grinch-like man who learns the magic of Christmas after his grandfather suddenly falls ill. A few days later, on Nov. 5, “Love Hard,” starring Nina Dobrev as a perpetually single L.A.-based journalist, drops on the streaming service.

Netflix also launched the trailer for “A Boy Called Christmas,” which lands on the streaming service on Nov. 24. Adapted from Matt Haig’s novel, the story follows an ordinary young boy named Nikolas, who ventures out to follow his father on a quest to discover the fabled village of the elves, Elfhelm.

December will see the release of “Single All the Way.” The movie stars Michael Urie as Peter, who is desperate to avoid his family’s judgement about his single-ness. So he convinces his best friend Nick (Philemon Chambers) to join him for the holidays and pretend they’re in a relationship. But when Peter’s mother (Kathy Najimy) sets him up on a blind date with her hunky trainer James (Luke Macfarlane), the plan goes awry. “Single All the Way,” also featuring Jennifer Coolidge, debuts on Dec. 2.

Later in the month, “A California Christmas: City Lights” is coming to Netflix. The sequel to last year’s surprise hit “A California Christmas” takes place a year after Callie and Joseph fell in love. Now, they’re blissfully running a dairy farm and winery. That is, until business and family obligations call Joseph back to the city — and threaten to derail their romance.
