The cast of “Dancing With the Stars” Season 31, the first season that will air on Disney+ instead of ABC, has been announced. The celebrities and their professional partners were revealed on “Good Morning America” on Thursday.
Tyra Banks is set to return as host alongside a new co-host, Alfonso Ribeiro, who previously won Season 19 of the dance competition. This year’s cast includes “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice, Bachelorette Gabby Windey, actor Selma Blair and “CODA” star Daniel Durant, to name a few. Charli and Heidi D’Amelio, who were previously announced on the morning talk show, will also compete.
This season marks the return of fan-favorite pro dancers Mark Ballas and Louis van Amstel. Ballas has danced on 19 seasons of the show and has taken home the mirrorball trophy twice. He last danced in Season 25. Van Amstel, who has yet to win, returns after a 10-season hiatus. Two-time winner Peta Murgatroyd is also returning after taking a season off.
Pro Sharna Burgess previously announced she was not competing this year, as did Jenna Johnson and Lindsay Arnold, who are both taking time away to spend with their families. This season includes a new pro, Koko Iwasaki, who was the runner-up on Season 14 of “So You Think You Can Dance.”
