NSYNC Reunite for New Song in ‘Trolls Band Together,’ Trailer Reveals

It ain’t no lie!

NSYNC has reunited for a new song in DreamWorks Animation’s “Trolls Band Together,” a new trailer reveals. The single, titled “Better Place,” is NSYNC’s first song in 20 years.

Reports have been circulating for weeks about a potential NSYNC reunion between Lance Bass, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick and Justin Timberlake, who voices Branch in the animated feature. A boy band reunion storyline has also appeared in previous trailers for “Trolls Band Together.”

On Tuesday evening, the group reunited on stage at the MTV VMAs, where they presented the award for best pop to Taylor Swift for “Anti-Hero.”

“I’m not doing well pivoting from this to this [from being an NSYNC fan to accepting an award],” Swift said. “Like, I had your [NSYNC] dolls!”

Swift then continued the group’s ongoing reunion teasers by saying, “Are you guys gonna do something? I need to know what it is!”

The third installment of DreamWorks’ “Trolls” franchise follows Poppy (Anna Kendrick) and Branch (Timberlake), who are officially a couple. As they grow closer, Poppy discovers Branch has a secret past: He was once a part of the boy band BroZone with his four brothers. Along with Kendrick and Timberlake, the voice cast includes Troye Sivan, Eric Andre, Daveed Diggs, Kid Cudi, Camila Cabello, Zooey Deschanel, Kenan Thompson and RuPaul Charles.

“Trolls Band Together” is directed by Walt Dohrn and Tim Heltz. Gina Shay produces the film.

“Better Place” is available on Sept. 29, while “Trolls Band Together” premieres in theaters Nov. 17.
