Taylor Swift Calls Beyoncé ‘Guiding Light Throughout My Career’ After Surprise Visit to ‘Eras Tour’ Movie Premiere

Worlds collided on Wednesday night when Beyoncé made a surprise visit to the premiere of Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” concert film in Los Angeles. In an Instagram post after the event, Swift detailed the importance of her fellow pop star’s support alongside a video of the two sharing popcorn inside the movie theater.

“I’m so glad I’ll never know what my life would’ve been like without @beyonce’s influence,” Swift wrote. “The way she’s taught me and every artist out here to break rules and defy industry norms. Her generosity of spirit. Her resilience and versatility. She’s been a guiding light throughout my career and the fact that she showed up tonight was like an actual fairytale.”

Swift’s “Eras Tour” movie, which chronicles her current record-breaking stadium tour, is set to open to at least $100 million at the domestic box office. She surprised fans about an hour before the premiere with the news that the film is actually opening on Thursday, a day earlier than planned, due to high demand.

As Variety exclusively reported, Beyoncé is in final talks to release her own concert film of the “Renaissance” tour through AMC Theatres, where Swift made her deal for the “Eras Tour” movie. According to insiders, Beyoncé’s concert film is eyeing a Dec. 1 release date.

Last month, Beyoncé’s mom Tina Knowles also showed support for Swift on social media, praising her along with her daughter for their tours’ ability to “stimulate the economy.”

“Just being young women and being able to say this, is so awesome!” Knowles wrote. “Proud of them both!”
