“Letterkenny” will end with its upcoming 12th season at Hulu and Crave.
The announcement of the final season came along with the premiere date for the Canadian comedy’s last episodes, which will drop all at once on Dec. 25 on Crave and Dec. 26 on Hulu. The series takes place in the fictional town of Letterkenny, Ontario, and follows its residents, who belong to one of three groups — the hicks, the skids, or the hockey players.
The official description of the season states, “In Season 12, the small town contends with a comedy night at Modean’s, a country music hit, the Degens’ bad influence, a new nightclub, and an encore at the Ag Hall. And that’s just for starters.”
The series was created by Jared Keeso, who also stars as Wayne. The cast also includes Nathan Dales, Michelle Mylett, K Trevor Wilson, Dylan Playfair, Andrew Herr, Tyler Johnston, Evan Stern, Mark Forward, and Tiio Horn.
The show originally launched in 2016 as the first original series for Crave, the Canadian streaming service owned by Bell Media. 75 episodes have aired to date, including seven holiday specials.
Keeso serves as executive producer, co-writer, star, and creator. Jacob Tierney is executive producer, director, and co-writer. Mark Montefiore is executive producer and Kara Haflidson is producer for New Metric Media. The series is produced by New Metric Media, in association with Play Fun Games and Bell Media, with the participation of Canadian Media Fund, the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation and the Bell Fund, with the assistance of the Canadian Film or Video Production Tax Credit and Ontario Creates. The series is distributed by New Metric Media.
