Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson-Produced ‘Things Will Be Different’ Debuts Footage Ahead of SXSW Premiere, XYZ Films Handling Sales (EXCLUSIVE)

The sci-fi thriller “Things Will Be Different” has released a first-look clip ahead of its SXSW Film & TV Festival world premiere. The film stars Adam David Thompson and Riley Dandy and premieres March 11 as part of the festival’s Midnight selection.

Marking Michael Felker’s feature directorial debut, “Things Will Be Different” follows siblings Joseph and Sidney, played by Thompson and Dandy, who are on the run from the law. The mysterious farmhouse they are staying in inexplicably transports them through time. While attempting to return to their present, a cryptic force emerges and traps them on a strange plot of land, giving them a deathly ultimatum in order to escape.

Chloe Skoczen, Justin Benson and Sarah Bolger round out the cast. Marvel directors Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson executive produce the film with David Lawson Jr. for Rustic Films.

“Felker has been an irreplaceable member of the Rustic Films family since before we were even a company,” Lawson Jr. said in a statement. “He has been with us since day one when we filmed ‘Resolution’ as our production assistant straight out of film school. When he came to us with this project, there was never a question of whether or not we would do everything in our power to help him make this the best film it could be. Rustic Films isn’t what it is today without Felker’s contributions over the years.”

“Things Will Be Different” is produced by Shane Spiegel, Jacob Rosenthal and Felker under his Last Life banner. Felker edited the film with Rebeca Marques. Carissa Dorson lensed. Jimmy LaVall,e also known as The Album Leaf, composed with Michael A. Muller.

XYZ Films is handling North American sales, continuing its partnership with Rustic.
