Rob McElhenney Launches Multi-Faceted Company More Better Industries

“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” creator and star Rob McElhenney is expanding his burgeoning empire with the launch of More Better Industries.

The company is comprised of three distinct entities: More Better Productions, More Better Advisory and More Better Ventures.

More Better Ventures will invest strategically in sports, entertainment and related properties that further the mission of the other More Better entities.

More Better Productions currently has over thirty film, television, and docuseries projects in development across a wide range of platforms with notable names like Larry David, Elliot Page, and Nzingha Stewart. The slate also includes both scripted and unscripted sports content in keeping with the success of the docuseries “Welcome to Wrexham,” the show about McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds’ purchase of Wrexham AFC. The show recently won the Emmy Award for best unstructured reality program. More Better recently made their Sundance debut with the company’s produced pilot “Me/We,” an Episodic Pilot Showcase official selection. McElhenney co-wrote the pilot with Keyonna Taylor.

Jackie Cohn, previously the head of television for Ben Stiller’s Red Hour Films, will lead More Better Productions. Her time at Red Hour included work on shows like “Severance,” “In the Dark, “High Desert,” and “Another Period.”

More Better Advisory offers consulting, brand partnership, and creative marketing services. Their current ventures include work with Wrexham AFC as well as teaming with Ally Bank to bring Wrexham AFC Women to the U.S. for the first time. The advisory business also works with Four Walls, the Irish American whiskey brand launched by McElhenney and his “Always Sunny” co-stars Glenn Howerton and Charlie Day along with CEO Casey McGrath.

The advisory business secured Series A financing with investors including Kevin Durant’s 35 Ventures and Chase Utley. Other sports teams and league partnerships will be announced soon. It is led by chief strategy officer Kelsey Trainor. Trainor was previously in-house counsel for Abrams Media and vice president of business and legal affairs for a sports-betting media startup co-founded by Kevin Garnett.

All of this comes as “Always Sunny” prepares to enter its 18th season, “Welcome to Wrexham” is set to debut its third in April, and “Mythic Quest” — the Apple TV+ comedy series McElhenney stars in and co-created — prepares its fourth.
