Kesha Changes ‘Tik Tok’ Lyrics to ‘F— P. Diddy’ During Surprise Appearance at Reneé Rapp’s Coachella 2024 Set

Kesha made quite a statement while performing as a surprise guest during Reneé Rapp’s afternoon Coachella set on Sunday (April 14).

The singer, who emerged roughly halfway through Rapp’s performance, emerged to give a rendition of her 2010 smash “TikTok.” Only, she changed the opening lyrics to, “Wake up in the morning like fuck P. Diddy,” putting her middle finger in the air alongside Rapp.

Of course, the original lyrics to the song are, “Wake up in the morning feeling like P. Diddy,” with the mogul himself contributing a quick vocal saying, “Hey, what’s up girl?” Back in November, during a Los Angeles performance on her Only Love tour, she removed Diddy’s name from the song entirely, stating, “Wake up in the morning feeling just like me.” That show, at the Hollywood Palladium, came just one day after singer Cassie Ventura settled a lawsuit against Combs claiming that she endured over a decade’s worth of physical and sexual abuse.

In the time since, Combs has been hit with a flurry of lawsuits alleging assault, gang rape and sex trafficking. Last month, his homes in Miami and Los Angeles were raided by Homeland Security, and while it was unclear if Combs was the focus of the investigations surrounding those raids, numerous subjects have been interviewed by federal officials about allegations connected to Combs.

Aside from Kesha’s cameo, Rapp gave an impassioned performance of songs from her debut EP “Everything to Everyone” and full-length “Snow Angel.” She was also joined by Towa Bird for “My Tummy Hurts.”
