ABC News Meteorologist Rob Marciano Exits

Rob Marciano, a longtime meteorologist at ABC News known for his appearances on weekend broadcasts of “Good Morning America,” has left the network, according to a person familiar with the matter.

ABC News declined to make executives available for comment.

Marciano had been with ABC News since 2014, and filled a role on “GMA” that had previously been occupied by Ginger Zee, who now appears on the morning franchise during weekday programs. Marciano had been the subject of gossipy reports in outlets such as The New York Post, which reported that he had been ousted from “GMA’s” Times Square Studios after some conflicts with other personnel.

Marciano had previously worked as an anchor for “Entertainment Tonight” and a meteorologist and anchor for CNN. Prior to taking those roles, he worked at local TV and radio stations including KATU in Portland, Oregon, KPLC-TV in Lake Charles, Louisiana and WVIT in West Hartford, Connecticut.
