‘WandaVision’ Creator Jac Schaeffer Signs With CAA (EXCLUSIVE)

Jac Schaeffer, the creator, showrunner and executive producer of Marvel Studios’ hit series “WandaVision,” has signed with CAA.

“WandaVision, the first live-action Marvel series to debut on Disney+, garnered critical acclaim, earning 23 Emmy Award nominations, including a nod for best limited series. Schaeffer was also individually nominated for an Emmy for outstanding writing for a limited or anthology series for the pilot episode.

Schaeffer is currently in post-production on “Agatha: Darkhold Diaries” for Marvel Studios, which stars Kathryn Hahn and serves as the follow-up to “WandaVision.” She serves as creator and showrunner, plus directed the pilot and several episodes of the series. It premieres on Disney+ this fall.

“I remember Kevin Feige saying to me, ‘We really should think about an actual Agatha show,’ and I was like, ‘Where do I sign for that job?’” Schaeffer said in a teaser for the series last year. While not much has been revealed about the plot, Hahn will be joined by Joe Locke, Aubrey Plaza, Patti LuPone and Emma Caulfield Ford, who will reprise her role as Dottie from “WandaVision.”

In film, Schaeffer served as a writer on “Black Widow” for Marvel, with Scarlett Johansson starring in the first standalone film about her character.

Her credits also include working on the production of “Captain Marvel” starring Brie Larson, writing “The Hustle” for MGM starring Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson, writing the screenplay for Walt Disney Animation Studio’s “Olaf’s Frozen Adventure” and writing, producing and directing her feature film debut, “Timer,” which premiered at the 2009 Tribeca Film Festival.
