Joey King, Cooper Koch Set to Announce This Year’s SAG Awards Nominations

Joey King (“A Family Affair,” “We Were The Lucky Ones”) and Cooper Koch (“Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story,” “They/Them”) have been tapped to announce the nominees for the 31st Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards this Wednesday, Jan. 8. Netflix’s YouTube channel will carry the announcement beginning at 10:30 a.m. ET / 7:30 a.m. PT.

SAG Awards committee members Jason George and Elizabeth McLaughlin will kick things off with nominations for outstanding action performances in a stunt ensemble. SAG-AFTRA President Fran Drescher will then give a speech and introduce King and Koch.

King received a 2020 SAG Award nomination for her role in Hulu’s true-crime series “The Act,” in the best female actor in a TV movie or miniseries category for playing Gypsy Rose Blanchard. She was also named an ambassador for that year’s 26th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards. Koch was a Golden Globe nominee this year in the best performance by a male actor in a limited series, anthology series or a motion picture made for television, for “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story.”

The 31st Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, produced by Silent House Productions in partnership with SAG-AFTRA, streams live globally on Netflix this Sunday, Feb. 23, at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT from the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall.

SAG Awards‘ Jon Brockett returns as executive producer, along with Silent House Productions’ Baz Halpin, Mark Bracco and Linda Gierahn.
