SAG-AFTRA and Telemundo Reach Tentative Agreement to Cover Spanish-Language TV Performers Through 2028

SAG-AFTRA has announced a tentative agreement with Telemundo Television Studios to represent its Spanish-language television performers.

Telemundo is the largest employer of Spanish-language talent in the United States. If approved, the deal will cover the contract period from Oct. 1, 2024, to Sept. 30, 2028.

The actors guild previously reached a contract with Telemundo in 2018, which included participation in and contributions to the guild’s health and pension plans, as well as an increase in certain compensation. That agreement came after 81% of eligible Telemundo performers voted to unionize. The Miami-based network has been under the NBCUniversal umbrella since 2001.
