“Deli Boys” was originally ordered to pilot at Onyx Collective in 2022, receiving a formal series pickup in May 2023, though production did not begin until early 2024 due in part to the dual writers’ and actors’ strikes in Hollywood in 2023.

Until “Deli Boys” is officially released, Onyx Collective’s current original scripted series slate consists only of the legal drama “Reasonable Doubt.” Most recently, the Natasha Rothwell series “How to Die Alone” was canceled after one season.
