‘The Last Drive-In’ Season 7 Sets Ice Nine Kills Frontman Spencer Charnas as First Guest, Shudder Debuts Trailer (EXCLUSIVE)

Joe Bob Briggs is back at “The Last Drive-In,” with Shudder debuting the first trailer for its variety show’s seventh season ahead of its March 7 premiere.

Along with new footage and a promise of many double-features, the show also announced that the first episode would guest feature Spencer Charnas, frontman of the horror-slanted heavy metal band Ice Nine Kills. The program, hosted by Joe Bob Briggs and Darcy the Mail Girl, also teased its season premiere programming, promising a 100th birthday celebration for “the first great American horror film.” This seventh season will cover more than 30 genre titles.

Charnas had previously teased his visit to the show to fans, posting on his own Instagram earlier this year, saying he is “Pre Lon’d up” — perhaps a reference to silent film star Lon Chaney ahead of the episode’s centennial celebration.
