CBS to Air Special Post-Super Bowl Late Night Episodes of ‘Late Show with Stephen Colbert,’ ‘After Midnight’

CBS is extending its Super Bowl Sunday into late night. The network announced Wednesday that its late night franchises “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” and “After Midnight,” hosted by Taylor Tomlinson, will air after the late local news on Sunday, Feb. 11, both on CBS and streaming on Paramount+ (on certain plans).

As previously announced, the new Justin Hartley drama “Tracker” has landed the plum post-Super Bowl LVIII time slot that evening. After local news, “The Late Show” is set to air at 11:35 p.m. ET/8:35 p.m. PT — time approximate after the game, of course. This reps a return to Super Bowl Sunday for Colbert; in 2016, “The Late Show” aired live right after the big game. “The Late Show” also aired in late night on Super Bowl Sunday when CBS carried the game in 2019 and 2021.

CBS said guests will be announced at a later date.

After that, “After Midnight,” which just premiered last week on CBS (based on the Comedy Central series “@midnight”), will air at approximately 12:37 a.m. ET/9:37 p.m. PT. Guests will also be announced at another date.

Earlier in the day, Post Malone, Reba McEntire and Andra Day will perform during the pre-game for Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas. The game will be played at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024, and will air on CBS. The NFL previously announced Usher as the headliner of the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show.
