Fox Sets Spring Shows Special Hosted by Ken Jeong and Joel McHale, Will Air on Affiliate Stations (EXCLUSIVE)

Fox will air a TV special promoting its upcoming spring programming lineup on Fox affiliate stations beginning Friday.

Hosted by Fox stars and “Community” alums Ken Jeong (“The Masked Singer“) and Joel McHale (“Animal Control”), the 30-minute spot will be running on stations through March 5. It will air on 100% of Fox affiliates across the country with approximately 400 airings during the window, though there is no scheduled primetime airing nationwide.

Featured alongside Jeong and McHale in the special are fellow Fox staples Rob Lowe (“9-1-1: Lone Star”), Jon Hamm (“Grimsburg”), Elodie Yung (“The Cleaning Lady”) and Gordon Ramsay (“MasterChef,” “Next Level Chef”), among others, all promoting the upcoming new seasons and episodes of their series.

Other Fox series featured in the special include “Alert: Missing Persons Unit,” “Masterchef Junior,” “So You Think You Can Dance” and “Farmer Wants a Wife.”

Almost all Fox’s live-action scripted series were pushed to spring and fall 2024 amid production shutdowns due to the writers and actors strikes last summer, which prevented shows including “9-1-1: Lone Star” and “The Cleaning Lady” from making the fall 2023 slate.

Like other networks, Fox is working overtime to let viewers know what it has to offer now that the strikes are over and the holiday TV pause is behind us, with a marketing push that rivals what the broadcaster would traditionally do to hype up its fall shows.

Speaking of fall, Fox will soon be gearing up to reveal its plans for September at its upfront presentation to advertisers in May. Fox plans to hold its event May 13 at Manhattan’s Hammerstein Ballroom.
