‘Heartstopper’ Adds Jonathan Bailey, Hayley Atwell and Eddie Marsan to Season 3 Cast

Jonathan Bailey, Hayley Atwell and Eddie Marsan have joined the cast of “Heartstopper” Season 3.

Atwell will play Diane, Nick’s (Kit Connor) aunt who takes him on a summer holiday to Menorca and has some tough advice to impart about his relationship with Charlie (Joe Locke). Marsan will play Geoff, Charlie’s wise and straight-talking therapist who first appeared in the “Heartstopper” graphic novels. Bailey will make a cameo appearance as Jack Maddox, an Instagram-famous classicist and celebrity crush of Charlie.

Per the season’s official description, “Charlie would like to tell Nick that he loves him. Nick also has something important to say to Charlie. As the summer holiday ends and the months race on, the friends begin to realize that the school year will come with both its joys and its challenges. As they learn more about each other and their relationships, plan social events and parties and start thinking about university choices, everyone must learn to lean on those they love when life doesn’t go to plan.”

“Heartstopper” is created and written by Alice Oseman based on her graphic novels of the same name. The eight-episode third season will premiere on Netflix in October. Andy Newbery directs the series, which is executive produced by Oseman, Patrick Walters, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman and Euros Lyn.
