Victoria Justice Shot ‘First Ever Sex Scene’ on Day One of Filming New Movie and Thought: ‘Really? We’re Gonna Schedule This For the First Day?’

Victoria Justice, best known for her starring role on Nickelodeon’s “Victorious,” recently said on SiriusXM’s “Hits 1 LA with Tony Fly and Symon” that her upcoming role in the movie “Depravity” required her to film her first sex scene. The experience was “uncomfortable” but the crew pulled it off with “taste.”

“My first day on set I had my first ever sex scene. I’m like, ‘Really, guys? We’re gonna schedule this for the first day? Cool. Thanks for that,’” Justice said. “It is uncomfortable. I was actually very nervous about it and totally anxious about the entire situation, and I was like, ‘Did I make the wrong choice? I don’t know if I should do this.’”

Justice stressed that she “had a lot of faith and trust in our director,” adding: “He made me feel very comfortable about it and said, ‘Listen, I’ll show it to you beforehand. If you don’t like it then we’ll change it.’”

“Depravity” marks the feature directorial debut of Paul Tamasy, best known for his work as a screenwriter on films such as David O. Russell’s “The Fighter” and “The Finest Hours.” The film centers on a group of tenants who suspect their neighbor is a serial killer and, through their investigation, stumble upon an art heist worth millions. Justice stars opposite Devon Ross. Taylor John Smith, Sasha Luss and Dermot Mulroney.

“I think sometimes people think filming sex scenes or anything like an intimate scene that it’s really sexy…it’s really not. It’s uncomfortable, honestly, and there’s a bunch of random dudes in the room breathing and watching you,” Justice added about the experience. “The actor I was working with we were friends as much as we could be. We barely knew each other because it was the first day of filming. He was a super nice guy and made me feel safe and was very polite and respectful.”

Justice concluded that filming “went well” and the sex scene turned out “very tasteful.” Paramount picked up global rights to “Depravity” last December, although a release date has yet to be set.
