Thomas Benski’s Lumina Makes $2 Million Investment in Game Studio Creators Corp

Lumina, a newly launched talent and IP media group, is putting forward a $2 million strategic investment from BAFTA and Grammy-nominated producers Thomas Benski and Marisa Clifford towards game studio Creators Corp.

Creators Corp., a Webby award-winning studio with a focus on developing through “Fortnite” maker Epic Games’ Unreal Engine for Fortnite (UEFN) tech, was founded by CEO Anne-Margot Rodde. With the help of this investment, the company will develop new user-generated games, partner with influencers and continue leveraging popular IPs.

“User-generated games are the next wave of entertainment, and Creators Corp. is leading that movement,” Benski said. “Margot has demonstrated a true talent for understanding both the creator economy and the UGG space, identifying key growth opportunities. Over the past year, she has surrounded herself with top talent in the industry, from developers to advisors, and has forged many meaningful partnerships with influencers and brands alike.”

“Thomas and his team understand the inherent synergies between entertainment and gaming and our vision for the studio’s future aligns perfectly,” Rodde said. “The investment from Lumina will unlock new opportunities to build upon our portfolio of fan-driven games in UEFN and lay the groundwork for user-generated games on new platforms in the future.”

Since Benski and Clifford exited Pulse Films in 2022, the production and talent management company they co-founded in 2005, they have raised capital to help move founders from service to ownership.
