Jennifer Lawrence-Produced Reproductive Rights Doc ‘Zurawski v Texas’ Sets Streaming Debut

“Zurawski v Texas,” a reproductive rights documentary which unfolds like a legal thriller, has found a streaming home in indie service Jolt.

The nonfiction work is currently available to stream on the platform following an acclaimed festival run and awards-qualifying release. It boasts star power courtesy of Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence, Hillary Clinton and Chelsea Clinton, who all serve as executive producers.

“Jolt is extremely excited to be launching ‘Zurawski v Texas’ this December,” said Geralyn Dreyfous, Jolt co-founder and chief film officer, adding it “has the potential to save lives once audiences have the opportunity to see it. We are honored to aggregate and amplify the call for legal accountability and the access needed for medical emergencies.”

Co-director Perrault said the work “repositions abortion as essential, basic healthcare, and Jolt’s data-driven approach as a platform will allow this message to reach a diverse array of new audiences at a critical moment where women and families’ access to care is on the line.”

Telluride saw the world premiere of “Zurawski v Texas,” which continued on to Hot Springs, Montclair, Mill Valley and the Hamptons Doc Fest.
