Timothée Chalamet Set as ‘SNL’ Host and Musical Guest, Dave Chappelle Also Hosting in January 

Timothée Chalamet is set to do double duty on “Saturday Night Live.”

The “Dune” and “Call Me By Your Name” star is set to host the Jan. 25 episode of “SNL” and will also serve as the musical guest. The move comes after Chalamet received a Golden Globe nomination for his leading role in the film “A Complete Unkown,” in which he plays music legend Bob Dylan.

This will be Chalamet’s third time hosting “SNL” and his first time as the musical guest. “A Complete Unknown” debuted in theaters over Christmas and received rave reviews from critics, with Chalamet drawing strong praise for both his portrayal of Dylan.

Prior to Chalamet’s appearance, Dave Chappelle will host SNL” for the fourth time on Jan. 18, with GloRilla set to appear as the musical guest for the first time. Chappelle’s latest special, “The Dreamer,” is nominated for the Grammy Award for best comedy album, while GloRilla has received two Grammy nods for her single “Yeah Glo!” Chappelle previously won an Emmy Award for hosting “SNL” back in 2021.

The hosting announcement comes as “SNL” is preparing for its 50th anniversary celebration on NBC. An entire weekend of programming on the broadcaster will culminate with the airing of the live primetime special ““SNL50: The Anniversary Special,” on Sunday, Feb. 16. The four-part docuseries “SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night” is also set to debut on the streaming service Peacock on Jan. 16. Then on Jan. 27, NBC will debut the special “Ladies & Gentleman… 50 years of SNL Music.”
