‘Prime Target’ Trailer: Leo Woodall and Quintessa Swindell Uncover Conspiracy (TV Roundup)

Apple TV+ has unveiled the first official trailer for the eight-episode series “Prime Target,” enticing viewers with a conspiracy and the fate of the world.

Leo Woodall stars as Edward Brooks (“The White Lotus”), a gifted math postgraduate who is about to find a key breakthrough in prime number patterns. After Edwards runs into an NSA agent, played by Quintessa Swindell (“Black Adam”), the two work together to uncover a troubling mystery as unseen enemies try to destroy Edward’s idea that could unlock the key to every computer.

The supporting cast includes Stephen Rea, David Morrissey, Martha Plimpton, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Jason Flemyng and Harry Lloyd, among others.

“Prime Target” is created by Steve Thompson (“Sherlock”), who also serves as executive producer. The first two episodes premiere Jan. 22 exclusively on Apple TV+ with the following episodes dropping weekly.

CASTING

Prime Video has announced five new cast members for season three of “The Wheel of Time.”

Isabella Bucceri, Nukâka Coster-Waldau, Salóme Gunnarsdóttir, Björn Landberg, and Synnøve Madocy Lund have joined the cast of Prime Video’s fantasy drama series. Bucceri plays Faile Bashere, a Saldaean “Hunter of the Horn,” whose efforts to locate a treasured relic have led her to The Two Rivers.

Coster-Waldau Bair, the eldest wise one and most respected member of the Taardad Aiel. Gunnarsdóttir will play Melaine, a wise one without the ability to channel. Landberg is Rhuarc, a well-respected clan chief of the Taardad Aiel. Lund rounds out the newcomers as Melindhra, a Malkieri survivor who was taken in and raised by the Taardad Aiel.

The five new cast members join an ensemble already including Rosamund Pike, Daniel Henney, Zoë Robins and Madeleine Madden. “The Wheel of Time” is co-produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, and is based on Robert Jordan’s best-selling fantasy book series of the same name.

“The Wheel of Time” season three premieres globally March 13 on Prime Video.

DATES

Three different Tom Green projects will be launching on Prime Video in January, ranging from a documentary, comedy special to an unscripted series.

“This Is The Tom Green Documentary” launches Jan. 24, following Green’s career across comedy, film and internet culture. The documentary features unseen raw footage, capturing Green’s move from Canada to Hollywood and the highs and lows throughout his career.

The comedy special “Tom Green: I Got a Mule!” will be available starting Jan. 28. Green’s latest special is taken from his recent tour across North America. Finally, the unscripted series “Tom Green Country” will launch Jan. 31, showcasing Green as he trades Hollywood life for a country farm.

All three titles will be available to stream across 240 countries and territories worldwide.
