Coldplay’s India Stadium Show to Livestream on Disney+ Hotstar (EXCLUSIVE)

British rock band Coldplay‘s biggest-ever Indian concert will be streamed exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar, as the platform makes a move into live music content.

The Jan. 26 Republic Day performance from Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium will be available to viewers across India, marking a significant streaming deal that includes exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the band.

The streaming deal, presented in conjunction with Cisco, will utilize Disney+ Hotstar’s technology infrastructure to deliver what the platform promises will be a “seamless and immersive experience.” In promotional content for the stream, frontman Chris Martin said, “Namaste to all our friends in India. We’re thrilled to share that on the 26th of January, our show from Ahmedabad will be streaming live on Disney+ Hotstar, so you can watch it from anywhere in India. We hope you’ll join us — we’re so excited to visit your beautiful country. Sending lots of love!”

The show is part of Coldplay’s record-breaking “Music of the Spheres World Tour,” which has become the highest-grossing rock tour in history. The band will perform in Mumbai’s D.Y. Patil Stadium on Jan 18, 19 and 21, prior to concerts at Ahmedabad on Jan. 25 and 26.
