‘The Voice’ Team Selects Top 6 Moments

When NBC is evaluating new reality series and formats to potentially pick up, they ask themselves, “What’s our spinning chair?” Jenny Groom, NBCUniversal’s executive vice president of unscripted content, says. That unique element was “enough to really drive the format” of “The Voice” for the broadcast network when it first launched in 2011 and since, it has become a way to mark a moment of being moved. The coaches hit a button to spin around in their chairs during the Blind Auditions, stamping their approval on the singer and saying they want that person on their team.

Beyond that audition round, the coaches may not be physically spinning around in their chairs to express emotion, but that doesn’t mean “The Voice” doesn’t continue to evoke it in droves.

Here, some of the team members behind “The Voice” select their personal highlights from the last 10 years.
