Bart Simpson has retired from tagging up the buildings in Springfield and has now moved his antics to Adidas’s new Advantage “El Barto” shoe. The latest collaboration between “The Simpsons” and Adidas puts a spotlight on the troublemaking son who is seen graffitiing “El Barto” across the sneaker’s white surface.
The Advantage’s classic design makes the perfect canvas for Bart’s felonious pranks. The “paint” drips down in black paint on the outer side of the shoe, besides which Bart catches a sneaky glance over his shoulder, graffiti can in hand. The inner side is left more minimal, with the shoe company’s distinct three stripes graphic perforated into the white leather. The soul of this new sneaker is dressed in the classic “Simpson’s” yellow while the heel is adorned with a little Bart skull and crossbones tag.
The collaboration is the latest in the of products to come out of Adidas’s long-running partnership with the show. Past favorites include the electric blue and black Squishee Hoodie, green Superstar Squishee shoes and the ZX 1000 Flaming Moe Shoes. And if you’re a true “Simpson’s” fan, always be on the lookout for the elusive Krusty Burger sneaks and the Duff Beer-inspired low-tops.
The Advantage sneaks are inspired by the classic tennis shoe look and are made out primegreen performance recycled materials, 50% of the upper is constructed from recycled content with no virgin polyester. Sizes ranger from 7 to 13 with half sizes available.
You can purchase “The Simpsons” x Adidas Advantage “El Barto” on the Adidas website for a $65.
